The Sangreal Academy of Boston
Welcome to the Sangreal Academy of Boston!
At the Sangreal Academy, a well rounded education is offered as well as a lovely place for students to live. Set in the city of Boston, the known city background surrounds the beautifully built campus and offers many places for the resident students and teachers to go. The city itself experiences all seasons, giving all residents the variety of weather that befalls it.
Established in the early 1800’s the Academy has been around since almost the establishment of America, although it wasn’t always known as a school. Discovered by the vampire Annette Miller, it was a broken down warehouse that used to serve as a grand artillery that was used during the Revolution. She had found it one day and decided to convert it to a school, even though the building was in complete disarray from wear and tear of war and time.
The school was started in the building it is currently in now and always had been in. Because of her copious fortune, she was able to keep it in tiptop shape, and maintain it so that it remained just above average in school standards. Since then, it had opened its arms to humans, vampires, and werewolves alike as to teach them though she knew they never always got along perfectly. It was always a dream of Annette’s to unite the three species together, and induce that no species is superior to the other despite the differences.
All the while, the vampire and werewolf aspects of the school had been a well kept secret. The way Annette had set it up was so that the needs of the two kinds of people were kept up with and satisfied, and because of that they were safely able to deal with humans, who had no idea that they were being integrated with them, but they remain completely safe. However, there has always been a slip up once in a great while where a human student is turned, or even more rarely, killed.
Such has been the way of this school, and Annette has passed this school onto Jillian Belikov, who will continue the ways that she herself had gone through when she herself was a student….

Yes, we have werewolves...
Werewolves in this world are pretty traditional. They do change every full moon, and because of that there are specialized cells for each werewolf student to go into so that the duration they are in their wolf form they are protected, and the rest of the student body, including other werewolves, are protected.
However, the full moon may not be the only time when a person can change into their wolf form. When extremely angry, the person is much more prone to give into their wolfish senses and let themselves change until they calm down. When this happens at the school, a teacher is to be called, preferably the headmistress or a werewolf teacher, so that the wolf can be restrained and moved to the protective and specialized cells.
And yes, we have vampires...
In this world, vampires are the normal traditional kind, abnormally pale with enhanced senses and extreme strength and reflexes. But there’s something different about them. They age.
The way this works is this: they age, yes, but very slowly. The way it works is they age one year for every 5 human years. It is because of this that they may experience life as a human might, though they still live vampiric lives. They still drink blood (provided by the school – animal blood so to be trained to keep away from human blood), and the sun does affect them. They are able to go out, but not for very long since their skin will begin to burn very quickly otherwise.
