You are all grown up enough to know basics of RP courtesy, but here's just a refresher on some of the main points:
[glow=blue,2,300]General[/glow]
- No God Moding other players - lets face it, no one likes it when their characters are controlled by another. When doing something that may involve another character, ask yourself if you would be alright if the roles were reversed.
- The password to the try out board is here somewhere, so make sure you read the rules thoroughly.
- We ask that you post at least twice a week to keep up activity. If you disappear for a long period of time, your canon character will be re-opened or your non-canon character will be subject to being killed off to aid the plot. However, likeliness is they will just disappear to the remaining characters, unless of course you post in the topic Absences!
- If you are in a group RP and have not posted within four days of the last persons post, your turn will be skipped and you will have to wait until your next turn to post. This is only fair to the other rpers - if you can't be on to role play then don't join a group thread, it slows a lot of people down, again, this is just common courtesy.
- No wandless magic unless you're Dumbledore, Voldemort, or a specific species with magical powers that do not involve a wand.
- Wand breaking/stealing must now be done in three posts, unless organised with the other character. After all, how would you like it if someone just came up and snapped your wand in half?
- No OOC fighting/discriminating etc. That's just not acceptable anywhere.
- There is no character limit, however if the admins decide you're not posting enough or your posts are not up to standards with the amount of characters you have you will be asked to drop one, possibly more.
[glow=blue,2,300]Duelling[/glow]
- Just because someone logs onto the site does not make them an open target
- The 10 minute rule; You can attack a person ten minutes after their post in that particular topic.
- If you post in a RP that has the potential for a duel and have to leave - post that you are leaving in that rp or the 10 minute rule will be effective and the password is the last word at the very end of the rules.
- No posting that you are leaving and then you stay just to avoid the duel
- If you can't stand losing then I suggest not to pull your wand.
- No one can be killed in a duel without the express permission of the RPer of the to die character.
If you have any questions about any of the rules, feel free to PM an admin.
