About You Name: Hailey Age: 18 Where did you find us?: I was already involved? RP Experience: I was a the old Pensieve and Right and Easy... RP Level: (Beginner, intermediate, advanced etc.) I'd say advanced, but then I sound full of myself, don't I? How often will you be on?: I'm on most days after class and sometimes during the night. I'm even on during the day between classes, usually. I've settled into college, so I'm pretty good about getting involved and active....
The Basics Name: Lily Evans (Potter?) Nicknames: Lil, Evans, etc Age: 18 Birthday: January 30, 1960 Bloodline: Muggleborn Former/House: Gryffindor Occupation: Editing text books for now (it's easy to do and she can still get training in other areas) Alliance: Order of the Phoenix
In Depth Appearance: The most memorable feature that Lily has is her red hair. That's one of the best ways that she is remembered. Lily has a nice hued red hair that isn't too bright because it's dark and thick--healthy, but is just right and toned at the right level. And her eyes are a vibrant emerald color, which her son Harry receives from her in the future. Many consider her to be quite beautiful, others just think she's a brain because of her intelligence. Either way Lily has those features, and along with it a pale complexion.
Lily is fairly thin and has long limbs, but rounder hips than she'd like. Lily isn't too tall for a woman, but is taller than others at 5'8”. Lily is always put together and always proper. She has a clean cut look and likes to keep herself and the things about her orderly, though sometimes James just makes that impossible. Lily prefers to wear pants, and now that she's out of school, she does so more often, most of the time accompanied by a button down, with an undershirt under it, and perhaps a jacket depending. Celebrity Being Used: Felicia Day Likes: -Reading -Potions -Charms -Leaning -New spells -Cooking -James (for some odd reason) -Kids -Animals -The color purple Dislikes: -James (at certain times—it's a love/hate relationship) -DADA -Death Eaters -Dueling (though she's not that bad at it -Fighting -Voldemort -Failure Strengths: -Potions -Thinking Logically -Research of any kind -Charms -Writing of any sort (along with reading) Weaknesses -Too Kind -Too forgiving -Stubborn to a fault -Has a temper -Always wants to be right Personality: Lily was considered one of the brightest witches of her age, so of course she takes her intelligence and tries to apply it everywhere, and sometimes it comes out as her feeling that she's above others, but really that's not how she feels, it just sometimes comes out that way. Though she seems to be nothing more than a brainy girl that was blessed with a pretty face, Lily is a very kind person, and when she loves she loves wholeheartedly.
At times her words can be biting, but more often than not she'll instantly feel guilt begin to plague her. She is a friendly person, and almost always polite, but she has a temper, so at times it can get the better of her. She's dedicated to anything she does and won't do anything halfway, she has to finish what she starts and she's always loyal to whatever cause she has signed up for.
Passionate about many things, sometimes Lily can go overboard, though, and she's bad about denying feelings that don't make sense to her—case and point, her feelings for James and her avoidance of him for quite some time before finally giving in and going out with him. Many thought her stuck up, but really it had been doubt, and worry that had caused her to act the way she had.
Beneath everything Lily has some insecurities that won't go away. Especially after Severus called her a mudblood, that left its marks on her emotions, and the fact that her sister hated her now. Lily is a loving person, and she holds things deep within herself rather than to let them out, another reason why she has a temper, it'll boil over at times and she just can't help what comes out. History: Lily Evans was born on January 30, 1960, the second of two girls. Things were lovely right off the bat. Her parents loved both of their girls the same amount, and Petunia was happy to be a sister at that point in time. They both had lovely childhoods. Lily didn't ever need anything more than she had, and she lived in a place where she and Petunia had places to play, everything was just peachy. Neither girls were spoiled, but they always had a bit extra.
Lily's mother always read to the girls. So, Lily developed a love for reading at an early age, which probably was the reason that she was so intelligent at a young age too. She surpassed those in school right away when she started and had little to no difficulty in whatever she did in academics. She and Petunia were the best of friends and life was great, everything was so normal.
Then, there was the day that she and Petunia met Severus. It was a great friendship there in the beginning, so innocent and childish. Either way, Severus was the reason that Lily discovered that she was a witch. Strange things had happened, and he was the one to point it out, he was the one that told her all about the wizarding world, and it just struck a spark within her, she wanted to learn more. She wanted to learn all that there was, she was excited, as was Severus and they were going to go to Hogwarts together.
That was when things with Petunia began to spiral into a downward slope. She was upset that she couldn't go to Hogwarts too, so she began to act out, deciding that Lily was a 'freak' and that she was strange, among other things. It was devastating to Lily. Her older sister meant so much to her, and she really would have loved it if Petunia could have come too, but Petunia couldn't, and that sealed the way the two sisters would be for the remainder of their lives. Lily would feel guilty and try to reconcile, while Petunia taunted and spat at her feet, deciding that Lily was no good and a freak.
School was great for Lily either way, though, even if she and Severus had been put in different houses, they were still best friends (Lily being clueless to his growing love for her). She loved everything about Hogwarts, the history, the professors, everything. She thrived there and quickly was acknowledged as one of the brightest witches of her age. It was also at Hogwarts that she met James Potter, who Severus seemed to hate. She had little to say about him other than he was too egotistical and a prat.
Things went well, up until fifth year. That was when Severus and Lily hit the breaking point of their friendship. She was done, he'd been sucked in by the dark arts, they were so seductive to him, and he wasn't the same person, and she didn't want to be friends with someone would would be so cruel, especially after he called her that foul, dreadful name. Unknowingly, Severus had pushed himself out of the running and given James a clear shot because under the feelings of disdain, Lily had a crush on him. She'd never admit to something that was so stupid, in her own opinion. James was too popular, and he was fake in many ways as far as she was concerned. He didn't really like her, that was what she had decided.
It took her until seventh year to give in to him, and even then she didn't really want to. She didn't want to get serious about him, she didn't want to think about how the hell she could like someone like him. He wasn't her type at all. He was so different! He was an asshole. He showed-off way too much, he kept on and on. When she gave in and went out on a date with him, she discovered he wasn't nearly as bad as she'd assumed he was. He really was much better than that.
They stayed together through school, and even after the both of them graduated. She really had fallen in love with him, and she didn't know how the hell it had happened. There was just something that had changed about him when she dated him. It really was good for the both of them, they were both happy, save for the fact that they both were involved in a war, but they were going to be together even through that. They were together, and they were happy for the most part.
Let's See What You've Got Role Play Sample:
The sun was up, and so was Lily. She'd gotten into a good habit of always being up as early as possible. She liked to make sure that she was up, awake, and that she was ready to tackle whatever task the day presented for her. She was up at the crack of dawn yet again, and she was seated on the couch, a cup of tea sitting on the coffee table in front of her with a manuscript for a new textbook. She had been marking it up with a quill, the ink propped on the arm of the couch.
Dipping the quill into the ink, Lily stuck her tongue out slightly, biting on it as she concentrated on both the grammatical errors as well as the information. This wasn't a difficult job, but it was really an easy job. She was well suited for it as well. It was way too easy, actually. She was comfortable in a pair of black slacks and an undershirt, she wasn't completely dressed as of yet, but all she had to do was put a shirt on over the one she was wearing.
Picking her mug up to take a sip, Lily sighed, leaning back. It was moments like this that made everything worth it, and everything nice. The world wasn't all peaceful, but there were glimpses of how it could be, and how it would be once the war was over. Life could be happy, and Lily looked forward to her future with James once they solved the problems.
Lily grinned as she sipped her tea and corrected the manuscript, wondering when she'd get to see James that day...
