Okay, I think we should have one advertising rule... not that one that says "if you post in my advertising thingy, you have to post my ad some on your site or else you'll be banned" because it's just annoying. But I think that, to advertise here, that site has to have a guest-friendly place, where we can put our own ad. Don't you think so?
(Please delete this post when it's been read, lol)

That's what affiliates do. If you can make some Pensieve buttons in the size of 88x32 I'd totally like to affiliate with your site.
Aka Peeves from Melted Kettle (formerly known as Peeves Paradox)

Hogwarts throughout the Ages would affiliate with you as well if you had a site for that.

Right I've made an affiliate topic and a section for the mini-banners in the sideboards so should work if you want to post there and I'll put them up.
Also because I'm not at home I had to make the banner on paint lol.. So if someone could put forward a better design for the Pensieve that would be great.

Cheers for that, it looks great. Not that my 'paint' banner wasn't an impressive piece of art work lol. I've swapped them now.

Well, affiliates do that, yes, but not every site has them Which is why I still think we should ask for guest-friendly advertising spots or whatever on the other site...

*nods* Which is also where a signature comes in too. If they're proboards sites you can also add your website to your profile and it'll show up in the mini-profile on the left of each post.
Invisionfree sites also have the same feature as well.
Sadly not all sites do offer a WHOLE board for advertising other sites and such like Harry Potter.com so you sometimes have to get creative.
Another suggestion would be to advertise on top sites or link referral. Those kind of sites will list you in a bunch of related sites, though it takes effort to maintain top rating on the list too. However, that is another option you can do. Both of those type of site do require that you put their affiliate button on your site too.
Hope that helps.
